Biological properties

The antigens of cell walls and metabolic products of E. coli in contact with the rectal mucosa and anogenital skin increase local tissue resistance to pathogenic microflora. The drug stimulates the T-system of immunity, phagocytic activity of leukocytes and reticuloendothelial cells, nonspecific immunity factors, reduces exudation during inflammation, normalizes the permeability and tone of blood vessels, stimulates regeneration of damaged tissues.

Hydrocortisone when applied topically has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects. When applied to the affected surface it reduces swelling, hyperemia and itching.

Indications

• severe course of hemorrhoids;
• perianal dermatitis;
• anopapillitis;
• anal fissure.

Composition

1 g of the ointment contains:

The active ingredients:

phenol inactivated microbial cells of E. coli (500 million),

hydrocortisone 2.5 mg.

Auxiliary substances: lanolin, petroleum jelly; phenol (preservative).

How to take, the dosage

Apply a thin layer to the affected skin and mucosa in the morning and evening and after each defecation.

For deeper insertion of the ointment into the anal canal, you can use the screw applicator included in the kit.

Interaction

The simultaneous use of the ointment or suppositories “Posterizan forte” and other drugs with glucocorticoids (tablets, drops or injections) may increase the action or side effects.

Please note that these instructions may also apply to medicines used recently.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to phenol, specific lesions of the anogenital area (including tuberculosis, syphilis, gonorrhea, mycosis, viral diseases).

Side effects

Phenol is used as a preservative in the drug, so allergic reactions are possible in patients with hypersensitivity to this component.
