Pharmacological properties

Bufexamac (derivative of aryluxamic acid) has an anti-inflammatory effect. Bismuth subgallate has an astringent effect and promotes wound healing. Titanium dioxide has an astringent and drying effect, promotes wound healing. Lidocaine hydrochloride hydrate is a local anesthetic.

How to take, the dosage

It is used rectally by 1 suppository 1-2 times a day, if possible after bowel emptying.

It is recommended to continue using the drug after the acute effects subside for 8 – 10 days.

Special Instructions

If there is no effect, as well as in case of discomfort and other side effects you should stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

Long-term use of the drug is not recommended.

If you need prolonged treatment you should use medicines that do not contain local anesthetics.

Simultaneous use of Proctosan® and condoms may decrease the strength of condoms, which reduces their reliability.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug components, specific inflammatory processes (syphilis, tuberculosis), childhood, pregnancy, lactation.

Side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions to the drug components (burning, itching, reddening of the perianal skin, swelling, blistering, scales, etc.) are possible.
