Papaverine, rectal 20 mg 10 pcs

Papaverine is a myotropic antispasmodic (relieves smooth muscle cramps) drug.

It decreases the tone and contractile activity of smooth muscles and therefore has a vasodilator and antispasmodic (relieves cramps) effect.

In high doses it reduces excitability of the heart muscle and slows intracardiac conduction.

Affective ingredient: papaverine hydrochloride 20 mg;

Auxiliary substances: solid fat, type A or vitepsol – enough to obtain a suppository weight of 1.19 to 1.31 g;

How to take, the dosage

Rectally, 20-40 mg 2-3 times a day.

Interaction

Decreases the effects of dopegit.

If smoked, the effectiveness decreases.

Special Instructions

With caution and in low doses should be used in elderly and frail patients, as well as in patients with craniocerebral trauma, hepatic and renal dysfunction, hypothyroidism, insufficient adrenal function, prostatic hypertrophy, supraventricular tachycardia and state of shock.

Alcohol should be avoided during treatment.
