🐾 Vetom 1 powder, 5 g

Pharmacotherapeutic drug group for veterinary use: probiotic.

Bacteria Bacillus subtilis DSM 32424 secrete in the intestines of animals antibiotic-like substances, enzymes and other biologically active substances, which normalize: intestinal biocenosis; medium acidity; digestion; absorption and metabolism of iron, calcium, fats, proteins, carbohydrates, triglycerides, amino acids, dipeptides, sugars, bile acid salts.

Vetom 1 stimulates cellular and humoral immune factors, increases resistance of animals and poultry to infection by viral and bacterial agents.

Indications

Vetom 1 is used in cattle, pigs, horses, small pets to restore the natural resistance of the body, prevention and treatment of dysbiosis, intestinal disorders after long-term antibiotic treatment, when changing diets or when the quality of feed raw materials, in violation of normal digestion associated with enzyme deficiencies, increase safety and productivity of animals, stimulate growth and development of young animals.

Composition

Powder for oral and rectal use.

Vetom 1 contains a dry bacillus of live spore-forming bacteria of Bacillus subtilis strain DSM 32424, as well as auxiliary substances – powdered sugar and starch.

1 g of the product contains: live microbial cells of Bacillus subtilis bacteria – at least 1×10⁶ CFU (colony forming units).

How to take, the dosage

For preventive purposes Vetom 1 shall be administered by group method with water, feed, premixes, mineral and vitamin supplements and other feed mixtures at the rate of 1,5 kg per 1 ton or individually with water or feed at the rate of 50 mg/kg of live weight once a day during 15-20 days.

The rectal administration of Vetom 1 at the rate of 50 mg/kg of live weight once a day during 15-20 days is allowed. The drug is diluted with warm boiled water and administered to animals after purgative enema.

For treatment the drug is administered individually in a dose of 50 mg/kg of body weight two times daily with 8-10 hour intervals until clinical symptoms disappear. In severe course of the disease it is allowed to increase a number of injections up to 4 times per day with an interval of 6 hours.

In order to correct immunodeficiency disorders Vetom 1 is administered 1-2 times a day in a dose of 50 mg/kg of live weight during 5-10 days.
When administered as a solution it is necessary to use a watering system.

No peculiarities of the drug action were noted upon the first use or upon its withdrawal.

Special measures in case of missing one or more doses of the drug are not provided.

It is possible to use in pregnant animals, lactating animals, offspring of animals (young animals in early postnatal period).

No symptoms of toxicosis or other adverse reactions were revealed in case of overdose of Vetom 1 preparation. Assistance in case of overdose is not required.

Special Instructions

Livestock and poultry products after application of the drug are used for food purposes without restrictions.

It is prohibited to prescribe Vetom 1 simultaneously with antibiotics and sulfonamides.

When used in dry loose mixed fodders it is mixed in accordance with the regulations for mixed fodder production lines.

Do not expose the preparation to temperatures exceeding 100 °C for more than 10 minutes.

No special precautions are required when working with the preparation.

Contraindications

There are no contraindications for the use of the drug.

Side effects have not been identified, adverse reactions when using the drug for veterinary use Vetom 1.
