Bacillus subtilis bacteria strain VKPM B-7048 and Bacillus licheniformis strain VKPM B-7038 used for making the preparation are highly resistant to digestive juices and mammalian gastrointestinal tract enzymes. Breeding, the bacteria release enzymes and other biologically active substances into the environment. As a consequence of this process in the colon of the GI normalizes the microbial composition, reduces the degree of inflammation of the intestinal mucosa, which promotes the active removal of toxins from the body and unimpeded delivery through the basal membrane of biologically active and nutrients (iron, calcium, folate, fats, proteins, carbohydrates, electrolytes, water). Under the influence of biologically active substances normalized: digestion, absorption and metabolism of iron, calcium, fats, proteins, carbohydrates, triglycerides, amino acids, dipeptides, sugars, bile salts, acidity in the GIT. Restoration of functional activity of the large intestine gastrointestinal tract leads to an increase of phagocytic activity of the blood, promotes the normalization of the immune system, improves metabolism in the body, which favorably affects the immunological and physiological status of the body.

Indications

Prevention and treatment of fungal skin infections: trichophytosis (shingles) and other fungal skin lesions (tinea corporis) caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Microsporum canis, Epidermophyton floccosum, etc.; yeast skin infections, including those caused by genus Candida, including diapers and others; lichen planus, caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare.

Composition

The drug contains immobilized dried spore biomass of Bacillus subtilis bacteria strain VKPM B-7048 and Bacillus licheniformis strain VKPM B-7038 as well as excipients: sugar or sugar powder and starch. One gram of the drug contains at least 1×106 CFU (colony forming units) of live microbial cells. It does not contain GMOs.

Directions for use

The drug is administered to animals individually or in groups with feed, milk, colostrum, boiled cooled water, and can also be administered rectally after purging enema. Solutions shall be prepared immediately before application. For therapeutic purposes the drug shall be administered in a dose of 50 mg per 1 kg of body weight 2 times a day for 14 days. For correction of immunodeficiency states Vetom 2 give animals in a dose of 50 mg per 1 kg of body weight 1 – 2 times a day for 5 – 10 days. For prophylaxis of digestive organs diseases Vetom 2 is prescribed for animals immediately after birth once a day at a dose of 50 mg per 1 kg of body weight for 10 days. Vetom 2 may be given with feed at the rate of 1.5 kg per 1 ton of feed.

Special Instructions

Livestock and poultry products after application of the drug are used for food purposes without restrictions.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug. It is forbidden to subject feed and liquids with the drug to thermal treatment. It is not allowed to use Vetom 2 together with antibiotics, sulfonamides and other bacterial preparations.

Side effects

With proper use and dosage side effects are usually not observed.
