Pharmacotherapeutic drug group for veterinary use: probiotic.
Bacteria Bacillus subtilis VKPM B-10641 secrete in the intestines of animals antibiotic-like substances, enzymes and other biologically active substances, which normalize: intestinal biocenosis, acidity, digestion, absorption and metabolism of iron, calcium, fats, proteins, carbohydrates, triglycerides, amino acids, dipeptides, sugars, bile salts. Bacillus amyloliquefaciens VKPM B-10642 and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens VKPM B-10643 used for making the preparation are characterized by high resistance to digestive juices and enzymes of gastrointestinal tract and ability to colonize it quickly. In the intestines of animals bacterial spores are transformed into vegetative forms and excrete antibiotic-like substances, enzymes and other biologically active substances, under the influence of which: normalize: intestinal biocenosis, acidity, digestion, absorption and metabolism of iron, calcium, fats, proteins, carbohydrates, triglycerides, amino acids, dipeptides, sugars, bile salts. Vetom 1.2 stimulates cellular and humoral factors of immunity, increases resistance of animals and poultry to infection by viral and bacterial agents.

Indications

Vetom 1.2 is used in cattle, pigs, horses, small domestic animals to restore the natural resistance of the body, prevention and treatment of dysbiosis, intestinal disorders after long-term antibiotic treatment, when changing diets or when the quality of feed raw materials, in violation of normal digestion associated with enzyme deficiencies, increase the safety and productivity of animals, stimulate growth and development of young animals.

Composition

Vetom 1.2 contains a dry bacillus of live spore-forming bacteria of Bacillus subtilis strain VKPM B-10641, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens VKPM B-10642 and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens VKPM B-10643, as well as excipients – powdered sugar and starch. 1 g of the preparation contains: live microbial cells of Bacillus subtilis bacteria – not less than 1×10⁶ CFU (colony forming units), live microbial cells of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens – not less than 2×10⁶ CFU.

How to take, the dosage

For preventive purposes Vetom 1.2 shall be administered by group administration with water, feed, premixes, mineral and vitamin supplements and other feed mixtures at the rate of 1.5 kg per 1 ton or individually with water or feed at the rate of 50 mg/kg of live weight once daily during 15-20 days.
The rectal administration of Vetom 1.2 is allowed at the rate of 50 mg/kg of live weight once daily during 15-20 days. The drug is diluted with warm boiled water and administered to animals after purging enema.
For treatment the drug is administered individually in dose 50 mg/kg of body weight two times daily with 8-10 hour intervals until clinical disease symptoms disappear. In case of severe disease it is allowed to increase the number of administration up to 4 times a day with an interval of 6 hours.
In order to correct immunodeficiency disorders Vetom 1.2 is administered 1 to 2 times a day in a dose of 50 mg/kg of live weight during 5-10 days.
When used in solution the water system should be used.

Contraindications

There are no contraindications for the use of the drug.

Side effects

Side effects have not been identified, adverse reactions when using the drug for veterinary use Vetom 1.2 is absent.
