🐾 Tylosin-200 solution, 20 ml

Tilosin is a bacteriostatic active antibiotic designed specifically for use in animals. Tilosin acts on Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria, including: E. coli, Bacillus anthracis, Pasteurella spp, Haemophilus spp, Leptospira spp, Stapylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp, Erysipelothrix spp, Corynebacterium spp, Mycoplasma spp, Chlamydia spp, Treponema spp (Brachispira), etc.

In intramuscular administration the antibiotic is rapidly resorbed and reaches maximum tissue concentrations about 1 hour after administration. The therapeutic level of the antibiotic in the body is maintained for 20-24 hours. 

Extracted from the body mainly with urine and bile secretion, in lactating animals and with milk.

Indications

Tilosin 200 is used for the treatment:

– bronchopneumonia of cattle and small cattle, pigs, dogs and cats;

– mastitis of cattle;

– enzootic pneumonia, arthritis, dysentery, atrophic rhinitis in pigs;

– infectious agalactia in sheep and goats;

secondary infections in viral diseases.

Composition

Tilosin 200 – antibacterial drugs in the form of solutions for injection, containing as an active ingredient tilosin base 200000 mcg/ml, and as auxiliary components propanediol, benzyl alcohol and water for injection.

How to take, the dosage

Tylosin 200 is only injected intramuscularly once a day. If used repeatedly, it is necessary to change the place of injection.

Special Instructions

Slaughter of animals for meat to which Tilozin was administered shall be allowed not earlier than 8 days after cessation of Tilozin 200 administration. Meat of animals slaughtered before expiry of these periods shall be used directly to feed animals or for production of meat and bone meal.

Milk obtained from animals during the period of Tilozin 200 administration and up to four days after the last injection of the drug is prohibited for food purposes. Such milk may be used for feeding animals.

Contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Tilosin 50 and Tilosin 200 are individual hypersensitivity to Tilosin.

Side effects

Allergic reactions in pigs are possible in the form of mild edema with slight prolapse of the rectum, erythema, itching and respiratory phenomena, which go away after discontinuation of Tylosin 200.
