.Pharmacological properties

A combination drug of herbal origin.

The pharmacological properties are due to the biologically active substances contained in the product. Sinupret® has secretolytic, secretomotor, anti-inflammatory, anti-edema, moderate antibacterial, antiviral action. It promotes the outflow of exudate from the sinus cavities and upper respiratory tract, preventing the development of complications.

Indications

Acute and chronic sinusitis accompanied by formation of viscous secretions.

Gentian cor., Primrose tr., Sorrel tr., Elderflower tr., Verbena tr.

Composition

100 g of Sinupret® drops contain 29 g of water-alcoholic extract from a mixture of the following
types of medicinal plant raw materials:

gentian root (Gentiana lutea) 0,2 g
primrose flowers (Primula veris) 0,6 g
Sorrel herb (Rumex acetosa) 0,6 g
Elderberry flowers (Sambucus nigra) 0,6 g
Verbena herb (Verbena officinalis) 0,6 g
Ethanol content: 16,0 – 19,0% (o/o)
Excipients
Purified water 71,0 g

Ethanol content.

How to take, the dosage

Ingestion by dissolving in a small amount of water.

Adults: 50 drops 3 times a day.

Student children: 25 drops 3 times a day.

Children from 2 to 6 years: 15 drops 3 times a day.

The course of treatment is 7-14 days.

If symptoms persist for more than 7-14 days or recur intermittently, a doctor should be consulted.

Interaction

Combination with antibacterial drugs is possible and reasonable. Interaction with other drugs is not known so far.

Special Instructions

The drug contains 16.0 – 19.0% ethanol (in volumetric ratio).
When using the bottle should be kept upright.
During storage of Sinupret® drops a slight clouding or precipitation of
minor sediment is possible, which does not affect the effectiveness of the drug.
When used in recommended doses the drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms requiring increased
attention.
Shake before use!

Synopsis

Transparent, yellowish-brown liquid with aromatic odor. It may be slightly cloudy or have a slight precipitate during storage.

Contraindications

High sensitivity to the drug components, alcoholism, children (under 2 years). The drug should not be taken by patients after successful antialcohol treatment.

With caution: liver diseases, epilepsy, diseases and brain injuries (use is possible only after consultation with a doctor).

Side effects

Allergic reactions (skin rash, skin redness, itching, angioedema, shortness of breath), gastrointestinal disorders (pain in the epigastric region, nausea) are possible. If side effects occur, stop taking the drug and consult a physician.

Overdose

In case of overdose, the severity of dose-dependent side effects may increase. Treatment is symptomatic.

Pregnancy use

The use of Sinupret® during pregnancy is possible only by prescription; Sinupret® drops, due to the alcohol content, should be taken only if Sinupret® drops cannot be taken. It is not recommended to take the drug while breastfeeding (due to the lack of experience in its clinical use).
