Nicotinic acid is a specific antipellar agent (vitamin PP).
It improves carbohydrate metabolism, has a vasodilator effect, including on brain vessels, has hypolipidemic activity.
In high doses of 3-4 g per day, nicotinic acid reduces triglycerides and low-density lipoproteins in the blood, reduces the ratio of cholesterol/phospholipids in low-density lipoproteins.
It has detoxifying properties.
Indications
Vascular lesions in diabetes, neuritis, hepatitis, hypovitaminosis, Raynaud’s disease, diabetic nephropathy, cerebrovascular disorders
- Prevention and treatment of pellagra (PP avitaminosis);
- .Complex therapy of ischemic cerebrovascular disorders, obliterating diseases of the limbs (obliterating endarteritis, Raynaud’s disease) and kidneys, complications of diabetes (diabetic polyneuropathy, microangiopathy);
- liver disease (acute and chronic hepatitis), gastritis with reduced acidity, facial neuritis, various intoxications (occupational, drug, alcohol), wounds and ulcers that do not heal for a long time.

Composition
Active substance:
0.01 g of nicotinic acid.
Excipients:
Sodium bicarbonate – to pH 5-7;
Water for injection – up to 1 ml.
How to take, the dosage
Adults are administered parenterally (usually intravenously slowly) 1 ml 1-2 times a day.
Contraindications
- High sensitivity to the drug;
- Gastric and duodenal ulcer (acute stage);
