Nasivin is an alpha-adrenomimetic, vasoconstrictor.
As an imidazoline derivative, at low concentrations it has mainly α2-adrenomimetic effect, at high concentrations it also acts on α1-adrenoreceptors.
It narrows blood vessels at the application site, reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa and the upper respiratory tract. When applied locally nasally in therapeutic concentrations it does not irritate the mucosa and does not cause hyperemia.
Studies of radioactive isotope-labeled oxymetazoline have shown that this rhinological agent administered through the nose has no systemic action.

Acute allergic rhinitis;
Exacerbation of vasomotor rhinitis;
To facilitate the outflow of discharge from the paranasal sinuses in case of sinusitis, eustachitis, otitis media;
