Mataren Plus, cream 50 g

Mataren Plus has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-edema effect. It may cause slight local hyperemia of the skin, while not having a pronounced irritating effect on the skin.

Mataren Plus reduces pain in the joints (including spinal joints) and muscles at rest and when moving, helps to increase the amount of joint movement (in the cream application area).

Reduces morning stiffness and joint swelling. Meloxicam selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase 2, disrupts arachidonic acid metabolism, reduces the amount of prostaglandins (mediators of pain and inflammation) in the center of inflammation.

Tincture of chilli pepper contains capsaicin, which has an irritant effect on sensitive skin receptors, resulting in a local analgesic effect, improving blood circulation in the skin and subcutaneous tissue.

The improvement of local blood flow is accompanied with intensification of blood circulation in the underlying tissues thus removing the substrate of inflammation from the pathological focus.

When co-operating meloxicam and capsaicin have a greater effect due to synergism in comparison with the individual effect of each of these components.

Due to the optimal combination of components Mataren Plus has an enhanced analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.

Indications

Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

Rheumatic lesions of soft tissues.

Pain syndrome: bursitis, tendonitis, lumbago, sciatica, neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, radiculitis, post-traumatic pain syndrome (traumatic bruises, dislocations, sprains, muscles and tendons, muscle ruptures without

violation of the integrity of the skin), soreness of muscles and joints caused by heavy physical activity.

Special instructions

Avoid contact of the drug with damaged skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

If Mataren® Plus cream gets on these areas, remove it using a cotton swab soaked in Vaseline or vegetable oil.

After using the drug, wash your hands thoroughly.

Pregnancy

The use of the drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children’s age (up to 12 years), violations of the integrity of the skin and inflammatory skin diseases at the site of intended application.

With caution

In case of impaired renal and liver function, with severe pathology of the gastrointestinal tract (peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase), with severe pathology of the blood system, in childhood (from 12 to 18 years).

You should consult your doctor before using Mataren® Plus cream together with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as if you need to use the drug for more than 10 days.

Side Effects

Recommendations for use

Externally. Lightly rub in a strip of cream 1 to 5 cm long, frequency of application is 1-3 times a day.
