Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, a derivative of phenylpropionic acid.
It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects.
The drug effect is due to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis by blocking the enzyme cyclooxygenase.
Inhibits platelet aggregation. With long-term use it has a desensitizing effect.
Indications
As an adjunctive agent: infectious and inflammatory diseases of the ENT-organ (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, rhinitis), bronchitis, pneumonia, pelvic inflammatory processes, adnexitis, primary dysmenorrhea, algodysmenorrhea, postoperative pain, headache and toothache, panniculitis.

How to take, the dosage
Fever (fever) and pain: The dosage for children depends on the age and body weight of the child. The single dose is 5-10 mg/kg of the child’s body weight 3-4 times a day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 30 mg per kg of body weight of a child per day.
In children aged 3-9 months (5.5 kg-8.0 kg): 1 suppository (60 mg) 3 times for 24 hours every 6-8 hours, not more than 180 mg/day.
Children aged 9 months-2 years (8.0 kg-12.5 kg): 1 suppository (60 mg) 4 times for 24 hours every 6 hours, not more than 240 mg/day.
Postimmunization fever: 1 suppository in children under 1 year of age, after 1 year, if necessary, another suppository after 6 hours.
The duration of treatment:
If fever persists, consult a physician. The indicated dose should not be exceeded.
Interaction
In concomitant administration Ibuprofen may decrease the diuretic effect of furosemide.
When used together Ibuprofen increases the effect of diphenin, coumarin anticoagulants, oral hypoglycemic agents.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, gastric or duodenal ulcer (acute stage), ulcerative colitis, optic diseases, scotoma, amblyopia, color vision disorders, liver cirrhosis with portal hypertension, “aspirin” asthma (provoked by taking ASA or other NSAIDs). NSAIDs), heart failure, edemas, arterial hypertension, hemophilia, hypocoagulation, leukopenia, hemorrhagic diathesis, hearing loss, vestibular pathology, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; pregnancy (III trimester).
With caution: hyperbilirubinemia, pregnancy, lactation; peptic ulcer (in anamnesis), gastritis, enteritis, colitis; hepatic and/or renal insufficiency, blood diseases of unknown etiology, children (under 12 years).
Side effects
Gastrointestinal disorders: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, heartburn, anorexia, diarrhea, flatulence, NSAID gastropathy.
Nervous system disorders: headache, dizziness, decreased hearing, tinnitus, insomnia, agitation, somnolence, depression.
Cardiovascular system: heart failure, tachycardia, increased BP. Urinary system disorders: edema syndrome, impaired renal function.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, pruritus, urticaria, Quincke’s edema, rare aseptic meningitis (more common in patients with autoimmune diseases), bronchospasm.
Hematopoietic organs: anemia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, leukopenia.
