H 1 is a histaminoblocker – ethanolamine derivative.
Antipruritic, anti-allergic. Reduces vascular permeability. It has a sedative and M-cholinoblocking effect. Does not have sleeping activity.
Prevents the development of vasodilation and smooth muscle contraction induced by histamine. Reduces capillary permeability. Inhibits exudation and formation of edema, reduces itching.
The antihistamine activity of the drug reaches its maximum in 5-7 hours, lasts for 10-12 hours and in some cases up to 24 hours.
Pollinosis, Increased lacrimation, Sneezing, Allergic conjunctivitis, Dermatosis, Allergy, Skin itching, Urticaria – prevention or treatment of allergic and pseudoallergic reactions (including during the introduction of contrast agents, blood transfusions, diagnostic use of histamine);
– angioedema, anaphylactic or anaphylactoid shock (as an additional means).
2 mg clemastine.
How to take, the dosage
Adults: 2 mg (2 ml), i.e. the contents of 1 ampoule, 2 times a day (morning and evening).
Tavegil® enhances the effect of CNS depressant drugs (hypnotics, sedatives, anxiolytics), m-cholinoblockers, as well as alcohol.
Incompatible with concomitant administration of MAO inhibitors.
Taking Tavegil, it is recommended to refrain from driving vehicles, working with machinery, as well as other activities that require increased attention.
The solution for IV and IM administration is clear, colorless or pale yellow to pale greenish-yellow.

- Tavegil should not be used in women while breastfeeding;
- Tavegil in tablet form should not be used in children under 6 years of age.
In patients with stenotic peptic ulcer; pyloroduodenal obstruction; bladder neck obstruction; prostatic hypertrophy accompanied by urinary retention; elevated intraocular pressure; hyperthyroidism; cardiovascular disease, including arterial hypertension.
Classification of the frequency of adverse reactions: very frequently (>1/10); frequently (>1/100, <1/10); infrequently (>1/1000, <1/100); rarely (>1/10 000, <1/1000); very rarely (<1/10 000).
Nervous system: frequently – increased fatigability, drowsiness, sedative effect, weakness, fatigue, lethargy, impaired coordination of movements; infrequently – dizziness; rarely – headache, tremor, stimulating effect.
Gastrointestinal tract: rarely – dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, gastralgia, dry mouth, very rarely – constipation.
Senses: rarely – disturbance of visual acuity, diplopia, acute labyrinthitis, tinnitus.
Renal and urinary tract: very rarely – frequent or difficult urination.
Respiratory system: rare – thickening of bronchial secretions and difficulty in phlegm discharge, a feeling of pressure in the chest, respiratory disorders, nasal congestion.
Cardio-vascular system: rare – decrease in blood pressure (especially in elderly patients), extrasystole, very rare – tachycardia.
Blood and blood forming organs: rare – hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis.
Skin and subcutaneous fat: rare – skin rash.
Immune system: infrequent – photosensitization, shortness of breath, rare – anaphylactic shock.
If any of the side effects stated in the instructions worsen, or if you notice any other side effects not specified in the instructions, inform the doctor.
Symptoms. Overdose of antihistamines can lead to both depressing and stimulating effects on the CNS, more often observed in children.
The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and during breast-feeding.
