Laxative.
In the action of intestinal microorganisms it is hydrolyzed to form the active form, which causes irritation of the intestinal mucosal receptors and intensification of its peristalsis.
Indications
Slabilen can be used in the following cases:
constipation caused by atony and hypotension of the colon
(that is, a decrease in the activity of colon peristalsis, including in old age, in bedridden patients, after operations, after childbirth, during breastfeeding);
constipation caused by taking medications;
to regulate stool in case of hemorrhoids, proctitis, anal fissures (to soften the consistency of stool);
gallbladder diseases, irritable bowel syndrome with a predominance of constipation;
constipation caused by intestinal dysbiosis, poor diet.

Laxative.
Under the influence of intestinal microorganisms, it is hydrolyzed to form an active form, which causes irritation of the receptors of the intestinal mucosa and increased peristalsis.
Special instructions
It has no taste, so it can be added to children’s food. Do not use daily without medical supervision for more than 10 days.
Use in children
Contraindicated in children under 4 years of age.

Composition
1 tablet contains sodium picosulfate 5 mg
Excipients:
potato starch 27.64 mg,
lactose monohydrate 58.45 mg,
povidone 2.96 mg,
magnesium stearate 0.95 mg.
Film shell composition:
Opadry II yellow 2.85 mg, including polyvinyl alcohol 1.14 mg,
talc 0.422 mg,
macrogol 0.576 mg,
titanium dioxide 0.695 mg,
iron oxide yellow dye 0.017 mg.
Contraindications
Intestinal obstruction, strangulated hernia, acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs, peritonitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, uterine bleeding, cystitis, spastic constipation, children under 4 years of age, first trimester of pregnancy, severe dehydration, hypersensitivity to sodium picosulfate.
Side Effects
Possible: diarrhea, which can lead to excessive loss of fluid and electrolytes, weakness, cramps, hypotension, abdominal pain.
Interaction
When used simultaneously with broad-spectrum antibiotics, the laxative effect of sodium picosulfate may be reduced.
When used simultaneously with diuretics and corticosteroids, the risk of electrolyte disturbances may increase.
Electrolyte imbalance that occurs when taking sodium picosulfate in high doses can lead to a deterioration in the tolerability of cardiac glycosides when used simultaneously.
