Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, intestinal obstruction, abdominal pain of unknown origin, disturbances of water and electrolyte metabolism, acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs, proctitis and hemorrhoids (exacerbation phase), strangulated hernia, bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, uterine bleeding, cystitis, spastic colitis, pregnancy, children under 12 years of age.

Side Effects

Allergic reactions, abdominal pain, flatulence, and diarrhea are possible.

With prolonged use – colitis.

Interaction

Senna preparations reduce the adsorption of tetracycline.

Overdose

Symptoms: diarrhea, impaired water and electrolyte metabolism.

Treatment is symptomatic.

Recommendations for use

About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of senna leaves are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, then continue to infuse at room temperature until completely cooled, filter, and squeeze out the remaining raw materials.

The volume of the resulting decoction is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

Take 1/2 cup orally in the evening after meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. It is recommended to shake the decoction before use.

Storage conditions

Store in a dry place, protected from light. Store the finished broth in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of the reach of children.
