Pyrogenal is an immunomodulator of wide spectrum of action, the main of which are activation of reticuloendothelial, hypothalamic-pituitary and fibrinolytic systems. Pyrogenal has adjuvant, desensitizing and anti-inflammatory properties, increases general and specific resistance of the body, influences thermoregulatory centers of hypothalamus.

Stimulates the activity of hyaluronidase: increases tissue permeability, improves the fibrinolytic properties of blood, restores blood circulation, prevents the formation of new and resolves previously formed tight scars and adhesions, prevents vascular obliteration, stimulates tissue regeneration and epithelization.

Activates the function of the adrenal cortex: anti-inflammatory effect, increases the concentration of hormones in the blood. It stimulates the kinin system.

Indications

The drug is intended for non-specific therapy:

• Chronic liver disease.
• Strictures of the urethra and ureters.
• Chronic prostatitis and urethritis.
• Inflammatory processes of the uterine appendages.
• Spaque disease of the abdominal cavity.
• Burn disease.
• Tenital diseases.

The drug is used for immunoprophylaxis and immunorehabilitation in case of incomplete recovery after acute bacterial and viral diseases.

Composition

1 ml of solution for intramuscular injection contains:

Active substance:

Lipopolysaccharide 50 µg.

How to take, the dosage

It is administered intramuscularly once a day.

Injections are made every other day.

If necessary, dilute with 0.9% sodium chloride solution for injection.

The drug in the opened ampoule must not be stored.

The initial single dose is 2.5 mcg.

On subsequent days of injection the dose is gradually increased by 2.5-5 mcg.

The maximum single dose is 100 mcg.

The full course of 10 to 30 injections.

If necessary, the courses of injections are repeated at least 2-3 months later.

When pyrogenal is administered for pyrotherapy the drug is injected intramuscularly once a day starting from 5-10 micrograms with gradual increase of the dose up to 100-150 micrograms.

The injections are administered every one or two days as prescribed by the doctor.

The combined use of intramuscular injections with administration of suppositories is also possible by prescription.

Special Instructions

People with chronic cardiovascular disease, renal disease and diabetes should be treated under medical supervision.

In the presence of a history of seizure readiness or febrile seizures, the drug is either not prescribed or administered under the cover of anticonvulsant therapy.

Contraindications

Pyrogenal must not be administered:

• People with acute febrile illnesses.
• Pregnant.
• People with individual intolerance to the drug.

compensated forms of diseases of the cardiovascular system and diabetes are not contraindications to the use of suppositories.
