Description

Pyrogenal is an immunomodulator of a wide range of actions, the main of which are activation of reticuloendothelial, hypothalamic-pituitary and fibrinolytic systems.

Pyrogenal has adjuvant, desensitizing and anti-inflammatory properties, increases general and specific body resistance, influences thermoregulatory centers of hypothalamus.

The drug stimulates cells of the phagocytic system, activates phagocytosis, the secretion of oxygen radicals, the synthesis of interleukin-1 (IL-1, IL-2), tumor necrosis factor (TNF _L), interferon (IFN _L).

Acting on fibroblasts, inhibits the synthesis of collagen by fibroblasts, accelerates the process of fibrocyte maturation.

Stimulates the activity of hyaluronidase: increases tissue permeability, improves the fibrinolytic properties of blood, restores blood circulation, prevents the formation of new and resolves previously formed tight scars and adhesions, prevents vascular obliteration, stimulates tissue regeneration and epithelization.

Activates function of the adrenal cortex: anti-inflammatory effect, increases concentration of hormones in blood.

Stimulates the kininin system.

Indications

The drug is intended for non-specific therapy:

Chronic liver disease.
Strictures of the urethra and ureters.
Chronic prostatitis and urethritis.
Inflammatory processes of the uterine appendages.
Spaque disease of the abdominal cavity.
Burn disease.
Tenital diseases.

The drug is used for immunoprophylaxis and immunorehabilitation in case of incomplete recovery after acute bacterial and viral diseases.

How to take, the dosage
How to take, the dosage
It is administered intramuscularly once a day. Injections are made every other day.
If necessary, dilute with 0.9% sodium chloride solution for injection.
The drug in the opened ampoule must not be stored.
The initial single dose is 2.5 mcg.
On subsequent days of injection the dose is gradually increased by 2.5-5 mcg.
The maximum single dose is 100 micrograms.
The complete course of 10 to 30 injections.
If necessary, the courses of injections are repeated at least 2-3 months later.
When pyrogenal is used for pyrotherapy the drug is injected intramuscularly once a day starting from 5-10 mg with gradual increase of the dose up to 100-150 mg.
The injections are administered every one or two days as prescribed by the doctor.
The combined use of intramuscular injections with administration of suppositories is also possible by prescription.

The drug is compatible and well combined with all medications used in the treatment of the diseases and conditions mentioned in the indications.
It enhances the effectiveness of chemotherapeutic drugs in combination therapy.

People with chronic cardiovascular disease, renal disease and diabetes should be treated under medical supervision.
In a history of seizure readiness or history of febrile seizures, the drug is either not prescribed or given under the guise of anticonvulsant therapy.
