Pyrogenal is an immunomodulator of wide spectrum of action, the main of which are activation of reticuloendothelial, hypothalamic-pituitary and fibrinolytic systems. Pyrogenal has adjuvant, desensitizing and anti-inflammatory properties, increases general and specific resistance of the body, influences thermoregulatory centers of hypothalamus.

Stimulates the activity of hyaluronidase: increases tissue permeability, improves the fibrinolytic properties of blood, restores blood circulation, prevents the formation of new and resolves previously formed tight scars and adhesions, prevents vascular obliteration, stimulates tissue regeneration and epithelization.

Activates the function of the adrenal cortex: anti-inflammatory effect, increases the concentration of hormones in the blood. It stimulates the kinin system.

How to take, the dosage

I/m 1 time/d every other day, if necessary the drug is diluted with 0.9% sodium chloride solution.

The initial single dose is 0.2 mcg, on subsequent days the dose is gradually increased by 2.5-5 mcg.

The maximum single dose is 100 mcg. The full course is 10-30 injections; if necessary the course may be repeated in 2-3 months.

For pyrotherapy it is carried out as intravenous injection once a day starting from 5-10 micrograms with increasing dose up to 100-150 micrograms. The injections are carried out every 1-2 days.

Interaction

The drug is compatible and well combined with all medications used in the treatment of the diseases and conditions mentioned in the indications.

It enhances the effectiveness of chemotherapeutic drugs in combination therapy.

Special Instructions

If hyperthermia, chills, malaise usually occur within 3-8 hours when administered by injection, the dosage that caused this reaction is repeated in the following days (usually 1-3 days) until the reaction stops, after which the dose is sequentially increased.

In the presence of seizure readiness, the drug is prescribed against a background of anticonvulsant therapy.

Contraindications

With caution: Cardiovascular diseases, renal diseases, diabetes mellitus, decreased seizure threshold, seizures, febrile seizures.

Side effects

Hyperthermia up to 37.5 °C, accompanied by mild chills and mild malaise. This condition can last from 3 to 8 hours. In this case, the dose that caused this reaction is repeated in the following days until the reaction to its administration ceases (usually 1 to 3 injections), after which the dose is successively increased.

In rare cases, individuals may experience severe chills, fever up to 39.5 °C, headache, and lower back pain. These reactions usually last for 6 to 8 hours, after which the fever decreases and the side effects disappear. In these cases, it is recommended to reduce the dose of the drug.

When using the drug for pyrotherapy, the reactions described above are acceptable.

Pregnancy use

It is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
