Proctosedil ointment, ointment 10 g

Proctosedil – antipruritic, local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory.

Blocks pain receptors (cinchocaine), inhibits the formation of PG and other inflammatory mediators (hydrocortisone), active against a number of Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms (Framicetin).

Pharmacokinetics

The hydrocortisone in the drug is partially absorbed in the rectum. T_1/2 is about 90 minutes.

Indications

Hemorrhoids, itching in the anus.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Side Effects

Local reactions: discomfort in the rectum, burning in the rectum, dryness of the rectal mucosa.

Other: secondary infection, allergic reactions.

There may be a risk of systemic side effects associated with hydrocortisone (when using Proctosedyl rectal capsules in high doses and/or for a long time).

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding +25°C.
