Posterizan, ointment 25 g

Pharmacotherapeutic group: immunostimulant

Pharmacodynamics:

Antigens of cell walls and products of metabolism of E. coli in contact with the rectal mucosa and skin anogenital area increase local resistance to the effects of pathogenic microflora.

The drug stimulates the T-lymphocytic system of cellular immunity increases phagocytic activity of leukocytes and reticuloendothelial system cells nonspecific immune factors reduce vascular exudation during inflammation normalizes the permeability and tone of blood vessels stimulates regeneration of damaged tissues.

Indications

Posterizan® ointment is prescribed to adults for the following diseases:

– anal itching discharge and burning in the anal area due to hemorrhoids;

– anal fissures;

– eczema.

Composition

1 g of the ointment contains:

The active ingredient:

a standardized suspension of E.coli bacteria 166.70 mg, (3.3 x 108±25% (2.475 x108- 4.125 x 108) E. microcl. coli, inactivated and preserved in 3.3 mg liquefied phenol);

auxiliary substances: liquefied phenol 3.30 mg (in the SCV) (corresponding to 3.0 mg solid phenol content), lanolin 166.60 mg, vaseline 666.70 mg.

How to take, the dosage

The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected skin and mucosa in the morning and evening and after each defecation.

For deeper insertion of the ointment into the rectum the screw applicator included in the package can be used.

The combined use of Posterisan® ointment and Posterisan® rectal suppositories is possible.

The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

Contraindications

Side effects

Posterisan® has no side effects even with long-term use.

Phenol is used as a preservative in the drug, so allergic reactions are possible in patients with hypersensitivity to this component, in the development of which the drug should be discontinued.
