Phenibut is a nootropic drug.

Removes tension, anxiety and fear, improves sleep. It prolongs the latent period and shortens the duration and severity of nystagmus, has an antiepileptic effect.

Limits manifestations of asthenia and vasovetegetative symptoms, including headache, feeling of heaviness in the head, sleep disturbance, irritability, emotional lability, increases mental performance. Improves psychological parameters: attention, memory, speed and accuracy of sensory-motor reactions.

Phenibut improves well-being from the first days of therapy, increases interest and initiative, motivation of activity.
When using Phenibut after severe craniocerebral injuries the number of mitochondria in perifocal areas increases and the bioenergetic processes in the brain improves.

Indications

Primary open-angle glaucoma (as part of combination therapy).
As an auxiliary therapy in the treatment of alcoholism (for the relief of psychopathological and somatovegetative disorders during withdrawal syndrome).

Contraindications

Side Effects

Interaction

When used together, Phenibut prolongs and enhances the effect of hypnotics, antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, and opioid analgesics.
