Oxycort, aerosol 55 ml

Oxycort – antipruritic, anti-allergic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory.

Inhibits phospholipase A2, reduces synthesis of PG and other biologically active substances (hydrocortisone), disrupts the connection of transport RNA and ribosomal membrane in microbial cells, inhibits protein synthesis, causing bacteriostatic effect (oxytetracycline).

Pharmacodynamics

It changes the structure and reduces the permeability of tissue and cell membranes, reduces the migration of macrophages and lymphocytes, affects all phases of inflammation, blocks the release of histamine and other biologically active substances from sensitized mast cells and basophils.

It is effective in the treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin diseases complicated by secondary bacterial infection.

Indications

Used for:

pyoderma (staphylococcal etiology, streptococcal and mixed);
purulent complications of allergic dermatological diseases;
eczema;
allergic and contact dermatitis;
bacterial diaper rash;
impetigo;
pemphigus;
sycosis and folliculitis;
abscesses;
boils and furunculosis;
insect bites;
hives;
thermal and chemical burns.

For diseases accompanied by dry skin and peeling, the use of ointment is preferable. For acute diseases with swelling and weeping – an aerosol that should be preferred for skin diseases localized to the scalp, folds and face.

Contraindications

Viral skin diseases;
tuberculosis;
syphilis;
ringworm;
neoplasms and precancerous skin diseases;
rosacea and perioral dermatitis;
skin reactions after vaccination;
hypersensitivity to the components of the drug Oxycort.

Side Effects

Skin irritation at the site of application (especially in cases of allergy to the components of the drug); secondary infections caused by fungi or oxytetracycline-resistant microorganisms.
