How to take, the dosage

The drug is taken orally, once a day, always at the same time, regardless of meals. The dosing regimen is determined individually. It is recommended to start treatment with prescribing the lowest effective dose.

Interaction

Concomitant use with levodopa drugs, dopamine receptor antagonists, m-cholinoblockers may increase the effect of the latter. When concomitant use with barbiturates and neuroleptics the effect of the latter may decrease.

Special Instructions

Caution is used in patients with thyrotoxicosis, epilepsy, seizures (including anamnesis); concomitant use of NMDA-receptor antagonists (amantadine, ketamine, dextromethorphan), presence of factors that increase urine pH (sudden change in diet, heavy intake of alkaline gastric buffers), severe urinary tract infections, history of myocardial infarction, heart failure (functional class III-IV according to NYHA classification), uncontrolled arterial hypertension, renal and liver failure.

Synopsis

Tablets: round, biconvex, film-coated white, with a wide rib on one side and marked “M9MN” and “10” on the other.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to the drug, severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance (CK) less than 5-29 ml/min), severe hepatic failure, pregnancy, breastfeeding, children under 18 years (effectiveness and safety not established); lactose intolerance, lactase Lapp deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption (the drug contains lactose monohydrate).

Side effects

Overdose

Symptoms: dizziness, tremor, agitation, drowsiness, confusion, agitation, stupor, seizures, psychosis, aggressiveness, hallucinations, vomiting, unsteady gait, diarrhea.
