It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic effect. By inhibiting cyclooxygenase type I and II, inhibits the synthesis of inflammatory mediators (prostaglandins, thromboxane, etc.). Stabilizes lysosomal membranes and inhibits the release of enzymes that contribute to tissue destruction during inflammation. Inhibits the activity of neutrophils. It has anti-bradykinin activity.
The drug has no antibacterial action.
Pharmacokinetics
A single dose of 160 mg leads to a plasma level of less than 400 ng/ml, insufficient for systemic action.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract – tonsillitis (angina), laryngitis, pharyngitis; inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity stomatitis, gingivitis, glossitis, aphthae, periodontopathy, chronic periodontal disease; as an analgesic in dental procedures.

How to take, the dosage
For mouthwash. 10 ml of the drug (dose for 1 application) should be measured with the measuring cup included in the package and diluted in 100 ml (half a cup) of drinking water. Rinse the mouth twice a day, preferably in the morning and in the evening. The drug should be used after meals.
Duration of treatment is determined by the doctor. If after treatment there is no improvement or new symptoms appear it is necessary to consult a physician. Use the drug only according to the way of application and in such doses as specified in the instructions for use. If necessary, please consult a physician before using the drug.
Special Instructions
Prolonged use may cause hypersensitivity reactions.
In this case, the drug should be discontinued and adequate treatment methods should be chosen.
When using high doses and long-term treatment the absorbable ketoprofen may compete with other drugs that have high affinity for plasma proteins.
The drug contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause allergic reactions (including delayed-type allergic reactions).

Impact on ability to drive vehicles and machines

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ketoprofen and other components of the drug, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs, full or partial combination of bronchial asthma, recurrent polyposis or paranasal sinuses and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs (including history), children under 12 years old.
With caution
Errotic ulcers of the gastrointestinal tract (exacerbation), Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, peptic ulcer, hemophilia and other blood clotting disorders, chronic heart failure, bronchial asthma, advanced age, pregnancy (I and II trimester).
Side effects
Allergic reactions.

Overdose
When the drug is used according to the instructions for use, overdose is unlikely. Accidental swallowing of the solution does not lead to serious consequences, since a single rinse dose contains 160 mg of ketoprofen lysine salt, which corresponds to the dose intended for oral administration.
Pregnancy use
The use of the drug in the III trimester of pregnancy is contraindicated.
The use of the drug in the I and II trimesters of pregnancy is possible only after consultation with the doctor, if the expected benefits to the mother exceed the potential risk to the fetus.
The use of the drug during breastfeeding is not recommended.
