Ketoprofen, gel 2.5% 40 g

Ketoprofen has a local anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative and analgesic effect.

In the form of gel provides local therapeutic effect on the affected joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles.

In joint syndrome it relieves joint pain at rest and while moving, reduces morning stiffness and joint swelling.

Does not have a catabolic effect on articular cartilage.

Composition

100 g of gel for external use contains:

the active ingredient:

Ketoprofen 2.5 g,

excipients:

ethanol (96%);

carbomer 940;

Propylene glycol;

diethanolamine;

benzalkonium chloride;

synthetic orange blossom oil;

lavender oil;

How to take, the dosage

The drug is used externally.

Once use 3-5 cm of the preparation (volume of a large cherry).

Depending on the size of the damaged area, apply the gel 2-3 times a day or as prescribed by the doctor, rubbing gently until completely absorbed.

The duration of treatment without a doctor’s consultation should not exceed 10 days.

Special Instructions

The product should be applied only to intact skin.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

In order to avoid hypersensitivity and photosensitivity, it is recommended to avoid exposing the skin to sunlight during the course of treatment.

Contraindications

With caution: hepatic porphyria (exacerbation), gastrointestinal erosive ulcers, severe liver and kidney function disorders, chronic heart failure, bronchial asthma, elderly age, children under 12 years, pregnancy I and II trimester.

Side effects

Allergic reactions, photosensitization.

In case of development of any undesirable phenomenon, consult a physician.

Overdose

The extremely low systemic absorption of the active ingredients of the drug when applied topically makes overdosing almost impossible.

Pregnancy use

Ketoprofen should not be used in the III trimester of pregnancy.

There is no experience of using ketoprofen during lactation.

The use in the I and II trimesters is possible only after consultation with the doctor.
