The infusion of hawthorn fruits has cardiotonic, antispasmodic, moderate sedative effect, shows hypotensive properties, normalizes blood clotting.

Indications

Tachycardia, Climax, Cardialgia (pain in the heart), Psycho-emotional tension, Vascular disorders, Insomnia, Neurosis, Irritability, Pain in the heart (cardialgia)

In the treatment of functional disorders of cardiovascular activity (neurocirculatory dystonia, cardialgia).

How to take, the dosage

About 15 g of hawthorn fruits are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the remaining raw material.

The volume of the resulting infusion bring boiled water to 200 ml.

The drug is taken orally 1/2-1/3 cup 2-3 times a day 30 minutes before a meal. The course of treatment is 20-30 days.

Interaction

When combined with cardiac glycosides the cardiotonic effect is enhanced;

with betadrenoblockers the hypotensive effect is enhanced.

Special Instructions

Hypertension should be monitored during treatment.

– children under 12 years of age.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible.

Long-term use of the drug in high doses may cause drowsiness, decreased blood pressure, bradycardia.
