An antimicrobial agent, nitrofuran derivative.

Active against Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis; against Gram-negative bacteria: Escherichia coli, Shigella spp., Salmonella spp. (including Salmonella paratyphi).

Indications

Conjunctivitis, Purulent sores, Angina, Stomatitis, Gum inflammation, Skin lesions, Blepharitis, Sore throat, Tonsillitis, Bedsores, Burns, Eye infections, Colds

Treatment and prevention of purulent inflammatory processes, including. Purulent wounds, bedsores, II-III degree burns, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, boils of the external auditory canal;

The treatment of osteomyelitis, empyelitis, infections of the eyes, including osteomyelitis, empyema of paranasal sinuses, pleura (cavity washing);

acute external and middle otitis, sore throat, stomatitis, gingivitis;

minor skin injuries (including scratches, scratches, pimples).

How to take, the dosage

Topically. Topically. As 0.02% freshly prepared aqueous solution: immediately before use, one tablet (20 mg of furacilin) is dissolved in 100 ml of distilled water at room temperature or in warm boiled water.

In case of sore throat, stomatitis, gingivitis, rinse the mouth and throat with warm solution of 100 ml 2-3 times a day.

In purulent wounds, sores, ulcers, burns, to prepare the granular surface for skin grafting and for application of secondary sutures the wound is irrigated with aqueous solution of nitrofural and wet dressings are applied.

In case of osteomyelitis the cavity is washed after surgery with an aqueous nitrofural solution and a wet dressing is applied.

In case of pleural empyema pus is sucked out and the pleural cavity is washed with subsequent injection of 20-100 ml of aqueous solution of nitrofural into the cavity.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, bleeding, allergodermatosis.
