Detralex, 1000 mg 60 pcs

Detralex® has venotonic and angioprotective properties. The drug reduces venous distensibility and venous stasis, reduces capillary permeability and increases their resistance.

The results of clinical studies confirm the pharmacological activity of the drug with respect to the parameters of venous hemodynamics. Statistically significant dose-dependent effect of the drug Detralex® has been shown for the following venous plethysmographic parameters:

• venous capacity,
• venous distensibility,
• time of venous emptying.

The optimal ″dose-effect ratio″ is observed when taking 1000 mg daily. Detralex® increases venous tone: venous occlusion plethysmography has been shown to decrease venous emptying time.

In patients with signs of severe microcirculatory disorders after therapy with Detralex® a statistically significant increase of capillary resistance evaluated by angiostereometry was noted compared to placebo.

Therapeutic effectiveness of the drug Detralex® has been proven in the treatment of chronic diseases of the lower limbs veins and in the treatment of hemorrhoids.

Indications

Detralex® is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of chronic vein disease (elimination and relief of symptoms).

The purified, micronized flavonoid fraction, in terms of dry matter, 1000.00 mg, consisting of: diosmin 900 mg (90%), flavonoids converted to hesperidin 100 mg (10%).

How to take, the dosage

The drug is administered orally.

The recommended dose for veno-lymphatic insufficiency is 1 tablet/day, preferably in the morning, with meals.

The risk on the tablet is intended to be divided solely for the purpose of facilitating swallowing.

The duration of treatment may be several months (up to 12 months). If symptoms recur, the course of treatment may be repeated at the doctor’s recommendation.

The recommended dose for acute hemorrhoids is 3 tablets daily (1 tablet in the morning, afternoon and evening) for 4 days and then 2 tablets daily (1 tablet in the morning and evening) for the next 3 days.

The recommended dose for chronic hemorrhoids is 1 tablet/day.

Special Instructions

It is recommended that the patient consult a physician before starting the use of the drug Detralex®.

In case of exacerbation of hemorrhoids, administration of the drug Detralex® does not replace specific treatment of other anal disorders. The duration of treatment should not exceed the periods specified in the section “Dosage regimen”. If symptoms do not disappear after the recommended course of therapy, a proctologist should be examined and a further therapy should be chosen.

In the presence of venous circulatory disorders, the maximum effect of therapy is achieved by a combination of therapy with a healthy (balanced) lifestyle: it is advisable to avoid long periods of exposure to the sun, prolonged periods of standing on feet and it is also recommended to reduce excessive body weight. Walking and, in some cases, wearing special stockings helps to improve blood circulation.

The patient should see a physician immediately if the condition worsens or does not improve with treatment.

The drug does not affect the ability to drive and perform work requiring high mental and physical reaction speed.

Side effects

In the gastrointestinal tract, nausea and a feeling of discomfort in the stomach, vomiting and diarrhea may be observed.

The central nervous system may cause headache and dizziness.

Very rarely there may be allergic manifestations on the skin, such as rash, itching, urticaria. Urticaria is an acute allergic reaction, characterized by the rapid formation of blisters. It is accompanied by itching.

If any side effects occur, it is necessary to consult a doctor about the need to adjust the treatment.

Overdose

No cases of overdose have been described.

In case of overdose, seek medical attention immediately.
