Cerebrolyzate increases resistance of brain tissue to hypoglycemia, hypoxia and intoxication as well as activates protein synthesis in neurons and improves metabolic processes in brain cells.

The action of cerebrolyzate is aimed at reducing neurological deficits.

Special instructions

Particular caution should be observed when used in patients with acute renal failure. The drug is prescribed with caution for allergic diathesis and grand mal seizures.

Composition

Active ingredient:

Bovine brain hydrolysate.

Contains 85% amino acids and 15% peptides.

Pregnancy

Special studies of the safety of Cerebrolysate during pregnancy and lactation have not been conducted. There are indications that the use of the drug in the first trimester of pregnancy is undesirable.

Contraindications

pregnancy period (in particular, the first trimester);
status epilepticus;
renal dysfunction;
acute sensitivity to the components of Cerebrolysate.

Side Effects

Injections of the drug are painful; in some cases, tissue irritation at the injection site is possible. For hypertension stage II-III. During treatment with Cerebrolysate, an increase in blood pressure may occur.

Interaction

Simultaneous administration with antidepressants may increase their effect.
