Pharmacodynamics

Cameton is a combination drug for topical use, the effect of which is determined by its constituent components. It has a local anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and moderate local anesthetic effect.

Chlorobutanol has a moderate local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect.
Camphor has an irritant and partially antiseptic effect, increases blood flow at the site of application.

Levomenthol has a local irritant effect, accompanied by a sensation of cold. An irritating (distracting) effect helps eliminate pain sensations. It also has mild antiseptic properties.

Eucalyptus oil has a stimulating effect on mucous membrane receptors, also has a weak local anti-inflammatory and antiseptic activity. The combination of these pharmacological properties provides a comprehensive pathogenetic therapy of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

Pharmacokinetics

Data about pharmacokinetics of the drug are absent due to low systemic absorption.

Indications

Composition

1 cylinder contains:

Active substances (content in one cylinder):

Chlorobutanol hemihydrate,

synthetic camphor,

L-menthol (levomenthol),

Eucalyptus oil 0.1 g each;

Ancillary substance:

Isopropyl myristate,

Propellant R 134a (1,1,1,1,2 tetrafluoroethane).

How to take, the dosage

Spray in the nasal cavity or mouth during the inhalation phase 3-4 times a day. For one inhalation session 2-3 sprays, the sprayed drug is inhaled for 1-2 minutes.

One press of the valve dispenses 100 mg of product from the cylinder.

Interaction

Systemic effects when using the drug as prescribed are practically eliminated, which allows the parallel use of other drugs without the danger of their interaction with the drug components.

Special Instructions

When spraying in the nasal cavity, do not tilt your head back or turn the can upside down. It is not recommended that more than one person use the same spray bottle to avoid spreading infection. Avoid getting it in the eyes while spraying.

The contents of the cans are pressurized, so the cans must be protected from shocks and direct sunlight and must not be heated, broken, punctured or incinerated, even when empty.

Hypersensitivity.

Side effects

Individual intolerance, allergic reactions in the form of skin rashes are possible, which go away on their own after discontinuation of the drug.

A slight burning and tingling sensation may occur when using the drug.

Pregnancy use

There is no sufficient experience of using the drug during pregnancy and lactation.

If it is necessary to use the drug during pregnancy, the potential benefit to the mother and the possible risk to the fetus should be assessed.

Because of the low systemic absorption of the constituent components of the drug, it is possible to use the drug while breastfeeding.

It is contraindicated in children under 5 years of age.
