Calcinova is a combined preparation containing a complex of vitamins and minerals, which are important factors of metabolic processes.

Calcium is involved in the formation of bone tissue, blood clotting, transmission of nerve impulses, contraction of skeletal and smooth muscles, promotes normal heart function.

Phosphorus along with calcium is involved in the formation of bones and teeth as well as in the processes of energy metabolism. For the proper mineralization of bones and teeth, in addition to calcium and phosphorus, which are the building material, vitamins should be taken. Especially vitamin D3 promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the digestive system and their proper distribution in bones and teeth.

Vitamin A is involved in the synthesis of various substances (proteins, lipids, mucopolysaccharides) and ensures normal function of the skin, mucous membranes and eyes.

Vitamin C is involved in the oxidation of a number of biologically active substances, the regulation of metabolism in connective tissue, carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulation and tissue regeneration, stimulates the formation of steroid hormones and normalizes capillary permeability. Vitamin C increases resistance to infections, reduces inflammatory reactions.

Calcinov tablets are recommended in pediatric practice for the following conditions:

• in the period of intense growth and development;
• intolerance of milk and dairy products;
• strengthening and protecting bones and teeth.

Composition

1 tablet contains:

acting ingredients:

Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) 0.4 mg,

retinol palmitate, powder (vitamin A) 2 mg (corresponding to 1000 IU),

colecalciferol (vitamin D3) 1 mg (corresponding to 100 IU),

ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 15 mg,

calcium hydrophosphate dihydrate 430.4 mg (corresponds to the content of calcium – 100 mg) and phosphorus – 77 mg),

accessory substances:

corn starch;

povidone;

anhydrous citric acid;

polysorbate 80;

magnesium stearate,

1 light green (kiwi) tablet additionally contains:

dye green (quinoline yellow dye (E104), indigo carmine (E132)), kiwi flavoring, sucrose,

1 light blue (blueberry) tablet additionally contains:

indigo carmine (E132), blueberry flavoring, sucrose,

1 light yellow (pineapple) tablet additionally contains:

quinoline yellow dye 06121 (E104), pineapple flavoring, sucrose,

1 pink (raspberry) tablet additionally contains:

dye red charming (E129), raspberry flavoring, sucrose.

How to take, the dosage

In the mouth, the tablets are kept in the mouth until completely dissolved, or chewed.

In children from 3 to 4 years old take 2-3 tablets a day, children from 4 years old and older take 4-5 tablets a day.

Interaction

Calcinov tablets should not be taken simultaneously with tetracyclines and sodium fluoride, because calcium reduces absorption of these drugs. If simultaneous treatment with these drugs and Calcinov tablets is necessary, the time gap between doses should be at least 3 hours. Pyridoxine inhibits the activity of levodopa.

Special Instructions

Patients with diabetes mellitus are not recommended to take Calcinov tablets because they contain sugar.

Impact on the ability to drive a car and other mechanical devices: No negative effect on the ability to drive and operate other mechanisms is known.

Contraindications

• high sensitivity to the components of the drug
• high calcium salt content in blood and urine

• hypervitaminosis;
• severe renal insufficiency (creatinine Cl less than 30 ml/min);
• children under 3 years of age.

With caution: diabetes mellitus.

Overdose

Do not take more than the recommended doses.

Long-term use of very high doses of Calcinova may lead to hypervitaminosis of vitamins A and D, increased calcium levels in the blood and urine.

Treatment: symptomatic.
