Bifidumbacterin – normalizes intestinal microflora, immunomodulatory drug.

Therapeutic properties of the drug are determined by live lyophilized bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum) contained therein, inherent in humans since birth, having antagonistic activity against a wide range of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms.

The high quantitative level of bifidobacteria in the preparation helps to normalize the intestinal microflora and thus improve the activity of the gastrointestinal tract, metabolic processes, wall-to-wall digestion, and increase nonspecific resistance.

Indications

Colitis, Inflammation of the female genitalia, Dysbacteriosis, Constipation, Diarrhea, Bloating, Vaginitis

Rectally in adults and children:

• Chronic colitis of different etiology with marked pathological processes in the distal intestines.
• Treatment of persons who have had acute intestinal infections in the presence of intestinal dysfunction, excretion of pathogens or pronounced dysbacteriosis of various etiologies.

Vaginal adults:

• Nonspecific colpitis (not associated with gonococcal, trichomonad and other specific infections); prescribed as an independent agent or after completion of antibiotic therapy.
• Vaginal dysbiosis, including bacterial vaginosis (gardnerellosis); prescribed alone or in combination with immunobiological agents.
• Acute and chronic stages of inflammatory processes in female genitalia; prescribed after the completion of antibiotic therapy to normalize microflora.
• Hormonally dependent colpitis: senile and others; prescribed as an independent agent against specific hormonal therapy.
• Pre-natal preparation for elective gynecological surgery to prevent post-operative infectious complications.

Assisted treatment for urogenital infections and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs):

Gonorrhea.

• Urogenital chlamydia.
• Urogenital herpes, etc.

The preparation is used for restoration of normal microflora in combination with and after specific antimicrobial, antiviral and immunomodulatory therapy.

Combined use of suppositories and oral forms of bifidumbacterin is possible if recommended by the physician.
