BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Therapeutic properties of the drug are determined by live lyophilized bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum) inherent in humans since birth, having antagonistic activity against a wide range of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms. The high quantitative level of bifidobacteria in the product allows to normalize the intestinal microflora and thereby improve the activity of the gastrointestinal tract, metabolic processes, fasting digestion, increase nonspecific resistance of the body.

Indications

Inflammation of the female genitalia, Diarrhea, Bloating, Vaginitis, Dysbacteriosis, Allergies, Intestinal infections, Colitis

Dysbacteriosis of the intestines of various etiologies.

In the complex therapy: intestinal dysfunctions of unspecified etiology; acute intestinal infections (dysentery, salmonellosis, escherichiosis, yersiniosis, rotavirus infection of unspecified etiology); People who recovered from acute intestinal infections;

Chronic diseases of the digestive system with abnormal intestinal microflora;

To prevent dysbacteriosis when taking antibacterial drugs (including antibiotics), glucocorticosteroids, drugs with ulcerogenic effect on the gastrointestinal tract (including NSAIDs). NSAIDs);

Stress and extremes; children of all ages with a history of illnesses;

How to take, the dosage

• children under 6 months, 1 sachet 2-3 times a day, from 2-3 days if necessary, the number of times the drug can be increased to 4-6 times a day,
• children over 6 months and up to 7 years of age.Children over 6 months and up to 3 years – 1 sachet 3-4 times a day,
• children from 3 to 7 years – 1 sachet 3-5 times a day,
• children over 7 years – 2 sachets 3-4 times a day,
• adults – 2 sachets 3-4 times a day.

The number of times the drug can be increased up to 6 times a day, if necessary.

The course of treatment is 3-4 weeks. If necessary the course of treatment may be repeated 2 or 3 times with each course in a month.

In acute cases of severe disease with severe dysbacteriosis the daily dose of the drug may be increased only upon the prescription of the attending physician. When using the drug in the complex treatment of acute intestinal infections the course of treatment is 7-10 days. For preventive purposes:

• children under 6 months 1 bag once a day,
• children over 6 months 1 bag 1-2 times a day,
• children from 3 years on 2 bags 1-2 times a day,
• adults on 2 bags 1-2 times a day.

Preventive course is carried out for 2-3 weeks 2-3 times a year. Bifidumbacterin taken with meals, if necessary, regardless of the meal. The drug is mixed with liquid foods, preferably fermented dairy products, newborns and infants – with breast milk or formula for infant feeding. The drug can be mixed with 30-50 ml of boiled room temperature water, which forms slightly opalescent whitish or grayish slurry. The resulting aqueous suspension should be drunk without achieving complete dissolution.

For topical use:

• for treatment of the mammary gland of a mother, 1 package of the drug is poured into 10-15 ml of boiled water at room temperature, the resulting suspension is soaked in a sterile swab and treat the nipple and areola area with it 20-30 minutes before each breastfeeding, the swab is left on the surface of the breast until the feeding, such treatment should be conducted at least 5 days, In gynecological practice – the contents of two sachets of the drug must be poured into 15-20 ml of boiled water at room temperature, abundantly saturate the resulting suspension of the sponge and put it in the vagina for 2-3 hours morning and evening, treatment course 8-10 days,
• in chronic bowel disease the drug can be given as a drug enema: Pour 2-3 sachets in 30-40 ml of boiled water at room temperature and using a balloon pear inject the resulting suspension into the rectum 30-40 minutes after a purifying enema, 1 time a day, the course of 10 days.

Interaction

Simultaneous administration of Bifidumbacterin with vitamins (especially group B) increases the effect of the drug. When taking antibiotics, the recommended interval between taking antibiotics and Bifidumbacterin is 3-4 hours.

Special Instructions

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms.
