Bifidumbacterin – normalizes intestinal microflora, immunomodulatory drug.

Therapeutic properties of the drug are determined by live lyophilized bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum) contained therein, inherent in humans since birth, having antagonistic activity against a wide range of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms.

The high quantitative level of bifidobacteria in the preparation helps to normalize the intestinal microflora and thus improve the activity of the gastrointestinal tract, metabolic processes, wall-to-wall digestion, and increase nonspecific resistance.

The preparation is used for restoration of normal microflora in combination with and after specific antimicrobial, antiviral and immunomodulatory therapy.

Combined use of suppositories and oral forms of bifidumbacterin is possible if recommended by the physician.

Bifidobacterium bifidum (Bifidobacterium bifidum) – not less than 10 million CFU.

Auxiliary substances

Solid confectionery fat on the basis of plasticized salomas 75-80%,

Petroleum paraffin solid 5-10%,

Emulsifier T-2 5-10%.

How to take, the dosage

In intestinal diseases

The suppositories are used rectally 3 times a day for 1 -2 suppositories per visit in combination with oral forms of Bifidumbacterin 20-30 minutes before a meal for 5 doses 1 -2 times a day.

The course of treatment after acute intestinal infections lasts 7-10 days, with prolonged and chronic forms of the disease, intestinal dysbacteriosis – 15-30 days or more.

In gynecological practice

Nonspecific colpitis, vaginal dysbiosis, senile vaginitis of hormonal nature, etc. – The drug is prescribed vaginally with 1 suppository 2 times a day for 5-10 days.

In case of vaginal discharge in pregnant women up to degree I-IV

The drug is used 1 suppository 1-2 times a day for 5-10 days or more with monitoring of restoration of vaginal discharge purity up to degree I-II and disappearance of clinical symptoms.

In order to prevent septic complications during elective gynecologic surgeries

Preventive use 1 suppository 1 -2 times a day for 5-10 days prior to the expected surgery or childbirth.

Interaction

There are no undesirable effects in interaction with other drugs.

The drug can be used in combination with antibacterial drugs.

The effect is enhanced by vitamins (especially group B), reduced by antibiotics.

Special Instructions

The drug should not be used if the integrity of the individual package is broken, violation of labeling.

To dilute the drug do not use water at temperatures above 40C and do not store Bifidumbacterin in diluted form.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible.

Overdose

An overdose of the drug Bifidumbacterin is impossible due to the lack of cumulative action.

Pregnancy use

The drug is approved for use in women during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

There are no special conditions for taking it.
