BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Therapeutic properties of the drug are determined by live lyophilized bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum) inherent in humans since birth with antagonistic activity against a wide range of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms. The high quantitative level of bifidobacteria in the preparation helps to normalize the intestinal microflora and thus improve the activity of the gastrointestinal tract, metabolic processes, and intestinal digestion, and increase nonspecific resistance of the organism.

Indications

Intestinal dysbacteriosis of various etiologies.

As part of complex therapy: intestinal dysfunctions of unknown etiology; acute intestinal infections (dysentery, salmonellosis, escherichiosis, yersiniosis, rotavirus infection of unknown etiology); convalescents after acute intestinal infections;

chronic diseases of the digestive system with disturbances of intestinal microflora;

children (including newborns and premature babies) with pneumonia, sepsis and other purulent-infectious diseases, as well as with anemia, malnutrition, rickets to reduce complications and increase the effectiveness of basic treatment; allergic diseases;

dysbiosis and inflammatory processes of female genitalia (bacterial vaginosis, including in pregnant women, bacterial colpitis, as well as senile colpitis of a hormonal nature).

For the prevention of dysbiosis when taking antibacterial drugs (including antibiotics), glucocorticosteroids, drugs that have an ulcerogenic effect on the gastrointestinal tract (including NSAIDs);

with radiation and chemotherapy;

in stressful situations and in extreme conditions; in frequently ill children of all ages;

children with a burdened premorbid condition, born prematurely or with signs of prematurity, receiving antibiotics in the early neonatal period;

children whose mothers suffered from severe toxicosis, extragenital diseases, had a long anhydrous period, had lactostasis, cracked nipples and resumed breastfeeding after recovery from mastitis;

infants with early transfer to artificial feeding and feeding with donor milk.

In order to prevent mastitis, for local treatment of the mammary glands of nursing mothers in the “risk” group (women with an inverted flat nipple, a decrease in its erection, the presence of cracks).

Pregnancy

The drug is approved for use by women during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are no special conditions for admission.

Contraindications

Congenital lactase deficiency. Impaired absorption of glucose – galactose.

Interaction

When Bifidumbacterin is taken simultaneously with vitamins (especially group B), the effect of the drug is enhanced. When taking antibiotics, the recommended interval between taking the antibiotic and Bifidumbacterin is 3-4 hours.

Overdose

There were no cases of overdose.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 10 °C. The lower temperature limit is not limited.

Shelf life

18 months. The drug is not suitable for use after the expiration date, if the appearance has changed, if there is no or unclear marking on the primary packaging, or if the seal of the primary packaging is broken.
