Anauran is a combination drug for topical use with antibacterial and local anesthetic effects.
Neomycin sulfate is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic. It is bactericidal against Gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus pneumoniae) and Gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteria, Shigella flexneri, Shigella boydii, Shigella sonnei, Proteus spp.) microorganisms; against Streptococcus spp. – is inactive against Streptococcus spp.
Polymyxin B is a polypeptide antibiotic. It is active against Gram-negative microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteria, Shigella flexneri, Shigella boydii, Shigella sonnei, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella paratyphi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
He is active against Proteus spp., Mycobacterium spp., Gram-positive cocci, fungi. It has a weak local irritating effect.
Lidocaine is a local anesthetic, quickly eliminates pain and itching.

Active ingredients:
Polymyxin B sulfate 1000000 IU,
neomycin sulfate 0.5 g (equivalent to 375,000 IU)
lidocaine hydrochloride
How to take, the dosage
Anauran is injected into the external auditory canal with a special dropper and kept there as long as possible (the patient keeps his head tilted sideways for several minutes).
Adults – 4-5 drops 2-4 times a day, children – 2-3 drops 3-4 times a day, depending on the severity of the disease.
Interaction
Incompatible with monomycin, streptomycin, gentamicin, amikacin, netilmicin (possible intensification of ototoxic effects of the above antibiotics).
Special Instructions
Anauran is used exclusively for diseases of the ear.
In severe and persistent infections, local treatment should be supplemented with systemic antibiotics.
Prolonged use of Anauran, as well as other antibiotics, may lead to the development of superinfection with drug-resistant microorganisms.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Side effects
Possible local allergic reactions that disappear without treatment after cancellation of Anauran: Hyperemia, itching and peeling of the skin of the external auditory canal.
Systemic effects are unlikely due to the low doses of the drug used.
However, during long-term treatment with Anauran, systemic effects may occur, particularly ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity due to absorption of neomycin.
