Yox-Teva, 50 ml solution

Pharmaceutical group:

A drug with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action for local use in ENT practice.

Pharmic action:

Yox is a combination drug for topical use in diseases of the oral cavity and ENT organs. In contact with the skin or mucous membranes it releases iodine; it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects.

The drug has a wide range of antimicrobial action.

It is active against bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa.

Active substances:

Povidone iodine8.5 g;

allantoin 0.1 g;

Associates:

levomenthol;

citric acid monohydrate;

Sodium citrate dihydrate;

Ethanol 96%;

Propylene glycol;

Purified water.

How to take, the dosage

The drug solution should be diluted with water in the ratio of 1:20-1:40 (i.e. from 2.5 ml to 5 ml with the measuring cup included in the package or 1/2-1 teaspoon in 100 ml of water). Rinse the mouth or pharynx with the diluted solution.

Yox® Solution is recommended to use 2-4 times a day. If necessary, the drug may be used more frequently, up to 6 times a day. The minimum intervals between rinses are 4 hours.

Interaction

It is inadvisable to use Yox concomitantly with other antiseptics for topical use in the mouth and throat, especially those containing hydrogen peroxide, due to inactivation of the drug.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (including to iodine), hyperthyroidism, heart failure, childhood (under 6 years).

Side effects

Allergic reactions; rarely a burning sensation at the application site.
