Xylen Neo, camphor and menthol scented spray 0.1% 15 ml

A vasoconstrictor for local use in ENT practice. Alpha-adrenomimetic.

When applied to the mucous membranes causes vasoconstriction, resulting in decreased local hyperemia and edema.

In rhinitis it facilitates nasal breathing.

Special Instructions

Should not be used for long periods, e.g. in chronic rhinitis. In colds where nasal crusts form, it is preferable to use as a gel.

Pediatric use

Cautious use of xylometazoline in children under 2 years of age (gel under 7 years).

Contraindications

Side effects

In frequent and/or prolonged use: mucosal irritation, burning, tingling, sneezing, dry nasal mucosa, hypersecretion.

Rarely: nasal mucous membrane swelling (more often with long-term use), palpitations, heart rhythm disorders, increased blood pressure, headache, vomiting, sleep disorders, visual disturbances.

In long-term use in high doses: depression.
