Sodium hyaluronate is a natural polymer that is present in human eye tissues. The effect of VISMED® is associated with the viscoelasticity property and the ability of sodium hyaluronate to bind and retain water.

VISMED® is characterized by high viscosity in the absence of blinking movements and low viscosity during blinking, which ensures its effective distribution over the eye surface, preventing “dryness” and eye irritation.

Sodium Hyaluronate has an affinity to the tear mucoglycoprotein that helps increase tear film stability.

VISMED®, just like tear fluid, contains calcium, magnesium and potassium ions required to maintain the normal structure and function of the eye cornea.

The addition of sodium citrate to VISMED® helps maintain viscoelastic properties in the presence of other ions and avoid their precipitation.

The leading mechanism in the development of dry eye syndrome is hyperosmolarity of the tear and instability of the tear film.

VISMED® is able to compensate for tear hyperosmolarity due to its hypotonicity
VISMED® promotes regeneration of surface keratitis by increasing cell migration.

Due to the unique combination of components VISMED® gel provides long-term protection of the cornea and relief of dry eye symptoms by restoring normal properties of the tear film.

Intal hydrocarbonate phosphate;

Sodium citrate;

Magnesium chloride;

Calcium chloride;

Purified water.

How to take, the dosage

Open the container by twisting the detachable cap clockwise.

Tilt your head back, position the dropper container over your eye and use the index finger of one hand to pull the lower eyelid down. Lightly press down on the container and drip 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the eye, unless otherwise instructed.

The fluid will spread evenly over the surface of the eye as you blink.

VISMED® can be applied while wearing any type of contact lenses (rigid or soft) without removing them during the application.

Special Instructions

If co-administration with other ophthalmologic agents is necessary, it is recommended to observe intervals of at least 30 minutes between instillation of the drug Vizmed and the use of other eye drops.

The use of eye ointments is allowed after 30 minutes after the injection of Vizmed.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the ophthalmic solution.
