How to take, the dosage

Adults: 15-30 mg/day if administered orally, 10-15 mg/day if administered orally, 10-15 mg/day if administered intravenously.

Interaction

Concomitant use with oral anticoagulants may decrease anticoagulant effect.

Special Instructions

Parenteral administration is recommended for diseases leading to bile outflow disorder. In hemophilia and Verlhof disease menadione is ineffective.

Contraindications

Increased blood clotting, thromboembolism, hypersensitivity to menadione.

Side effects

Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, erythema, urticaria, bronchospasm.

With the clotting system: hemolytic disease in newborns.
