Indications

Prevent typhoid fever in adults and children aged 3 years and older.

Composition

VIANVAC typhoid vaccine is a solution of capsular polysaccharide extracted from the supernatant of Salmonella typhi culture, purified by enzymatic and physical-chemical methods;

Phenol is a preservative.

How to take, the dosage

The vaccine is given once.

The vaccine is administered subcutaneously on the outer surface of the upper third of the upper arm. The inoculation dose is 0.5 ml (25 mcg).

Revaccinations are given when indicated every 3 years.

The drug from the opened ampoule must be used immediately.

The opening of ampoules and the procedure of administering the drug are carried out in strict compliance with the rules of asepsis and antiseptics.

Vianvac vaccine and inactivated vaccines from the national vaccine schedule can be injected simultaneously with different syringes in different parts of the body.

Contraindications

Side effects

Reactions to the Vianvac vaccine are quite rare and are considered mild.
