Valerian tincture 25 ml

Valerian tincture has a moderately pronounced sedative effect. The active principles of the drug are the ester of borneol and isovaleric acid, free valerian acid. The sedative effect comes on slowly but steadily enough.

Facilitates the onset of natural sleep. In addition, the drug has antispasmodic effect on smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, has a choleretic effect, increases secretion of gastrointestinal glands.

If 1000 ml of tincture
active ingredient:
valerian rhizomes with roots – 200 g
excipient:
ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 70% – to get 1000 ml of tincture

How to take, the dosage

Apply orally, before meals, diluted in a small amount of water. Adults take 20-30 drops per reception 3-4 times a day, children – 1 drop for each year of life 1-3 times a day. The course of treatment – up to 4 weeks. Repeated courses of treatment are possible after agreement with the doctor.

Interaction

The drug enhances the effect of sleeping pills, sedatives and other drugs that depress the central nervous system, as well as antispasmodics.

The drug contains alcohol!

During treatment it is necessary to refrain from driving and engaging in other potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and quick psychomotor reactions.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug, pregnancy, breastfeeding, children (under 1 year).

Side effects

Overdose

In case of long-term use of the drug in doses higher than recommended, dose-dependent side effects may worsen.
Treatment is symptomatic.
