Pharmacodynamics

The active ingredient is the ester of borneol and isovaleric acid. It has a moderately strong sedative effect, which comes on slowly, but it is sufficiently stable. It facilitates the onset of natural sleep. In addition, it has an antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract.

Indications

– Increased nervous irritability;

– insomnia (sleeping disorders);

– as part of the complex therapy – functional disorders of the cardiovascular system;

– spasms of the gastrointestinal tract.

How to take, the dosage

Ingestion.

Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day after meals. Duration of therapy is 2-4 weeks. A second course is possible by prescription.

Interaction

Enhances the effects of sleeping pills, sedatives and antispasmodics.

If you are using the above or other medicines (including over-the-counter medications), consult your physician before using Valerian extract.

Special Instructions

In a maximum daily dose (6 tablets), 0.03 IU.
