Polymer-glass dry vacuum cups for static or kinetic vacuum therapy BV-01-“AP” are a means of beneficial effect on blood and lymph circulation, improving peripheral circulation of blood, lymph and interstitial fluid. Causing local and reflex dilation of blood and lymph vessels, they have a resolving and analgesic effect. Local hemorrhages are formed at the places where the cans are applied. The products of blood breakdown that are formed are absorbed and stimulate hematopoiesis. Stagnation phenomena are eliminated, metabolic processes and skin breathing intensify, the skin becomes elastic, its resistance to temperature and physical influences increases, muscle contractile function improves, their tone and elasticity increase. During the first hour after application of the jars some changes in blood composition, a decrease in blood pressure and a slowing down of the pulse are noted.
Contraindications
Pulmonary hemorrhages, pulmonary tuberculosis in the active stage, malignant and benign tumors, hemorrhagic diathesis, skin diseases and its sharp sensitivity, blood diseases, severe exhaustion of the patient, cardiac arrhythmias, grade 3 hypertension, high fever.
Cupping should not be placed on the spine, heart, kidneys or mammary glands in women.
All procedures must be agreed upon with the attending physician.
Specifications
The jars are made with a diameter of 50 mm. According to the mode of use, cans are a reusable medical product. The jars are made of two parts:
a) the reservoir of a jar made of medical glass;
b) balloon cans to create in a tank
vacuum, made of polyvinyl chloride plastisol.
Prescribing
Medical dry vacuum polymer-glass jars are designed for static and kinetic (cupping massage) vacuum therapy:
anti-cellulite massage
effectively break down fat cells
remove stretch marks
promote tissue regeneration
They are also used to provide absorbable, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects for bronchitis, pneumonia, pleurisy, and inflammatory muscle diseases.
Recommendations for use
Disinfection.
When used in medical institutions or in other conditions for different patients, jars must be disinfected according to MU 287-113. Before disinfection, the cylinder and reservoir are separated. The jar reservoir is disinfected by boiling in distilled water with 2% sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) for 15±5 minutes. The balloon is immersed in a 3% chloramine solution for 60 minutes or in a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution for 180 minutes. At the end of the disinfection period, the products are washed with running drinking water.
For individual repeated use, the method of wiping twice with a calico or gauze napkin soaked in a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide or in a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide with the addition of 0.5% detergent of the “Lotus” type (MU 287-113) can be used.
Static vacuum therapy.
With static vacuum therapy, cups are applied to the thoracic region in front and behind (excluding the area of the spine, sternum, heart and mammary glands in women), to the lumbar region to the right and left of the spine, along the sciatic nerve along the back of the thigh.
the patient is in a lying or sitting position in a relaxed state;
for better suction of the cups, it is recommended to lubricate the patient’s skin with heated sterile vegetable oil, petroleum jelly, etc.; Attention!!! Before installing the can, check the surface adjacent to the patient’s skin for chips and cracks.
Use your fingers to squeeze the can approximately in the middle, place the can tightly on the skin and release;
cover the patient with a warm blanket;
procedure duration is 5-15 minutes;
when installing cans on a child’s body, weakened patients and patients with sensitive skin need to regulate the degree of vacuum by incompletely compressing the can’s balloon, avoiding severe pain;
after the procedure, remove the cans by squeezing the balloon with your fingers;
lubricate the patient’s skin with emollient cream and sterile vegetable oil;
wrap the patient in a blanket and give him a glass of tea with lemon or raspberry.
Kinetic vacuum therapy (cupping massage).
the patient is in a lying or sitting position in a relaxed state;
lubricate the massaged surface with massage cream, sterile vegetable oil or Vaseline; Attention!!! Before installing the can, check the surface adjacent to the patient’s skin for chips and cracks.
install one can, adjusting the degree of vacuum by compressing the balloon, while it is necessary to take into account the sensitivity of the patient’s skin, his age and physical condition, avoiding severe pain;
with the suction jar, make smooth sliding massage movements in the direction of the massage lines (indicated in the figure), holding the jar by the glass reservoir;
the frequency of the cupping massage procedure is determined by the attending physician;
After the procedure, you must rest for at least 30 minutes in a warm room.
Therapeutic effects of cupping massage.
1. For osteochondrosis, make sliding massage movements from the lower back to the neck. Particular attention is paid to massage areas located at a distance of 2-3 cm from the spinous processes of the spine. The movements are straightforward, with the jar moving upward with force so that a fold of skin “goes” in front of the jar, downward movements without effort.
2. For cervical osteochondrosis, make circular movements with the jar around the seventh vertebra (to find it, you need to tilt your head, palpate the cervical vertebrae, this will be the most protruding vertebra). Direction of movements – clockwise, without touching the seventh vertebra, massage time 1-1.5 minutes. After this, massage the trapezius muscles from head to shoulders.
3. For colds, bronchitis, pneumonia – massage the back from the lower corners of the shoulder blades to the shoulders, the lateral surfaces of the chest, as well as from the xiphoid process of the sternum to the left and right shoulders. Cupping massage removes mucus, improves breathing, and lowers body temperature. After the procedure is completed, the patient should be wrapped in a blanket and given a glass of tea with lemon or raspberry.
4. For myositis of the lumbar muscles, massage along the lower back; for myositis of the muscles of the forearm, massage the muscles of the back of the neck and back. With lumbosacral radiculitis – the lumbar region, and if the pain radiates to the leg, then the back surface of the leg from the popliteal fossa to the gluteal fold. Attention! Do not massage the area of the popliteal fossa and the inner thigh!
5. For cellulite, cupping massage of the thigh and buttock muscles is performed. Moving the can is circular, zigzag, rectilinear (all types of movements 5 – 6 times). When exposed to cupping massage, mechanical rupture of fat cells occurs. To enhance the effect, lubricate the massaged surface with anti-cellulite cream. Massage course – 1 month.
6. In order to increase immunity in weakened, long-term ill people, a technique of autohemotherapy is used, which consists of applying a can to the skin of the buttock for 30–60 seconds in high vacuum mode. Massage course – 10 days.
7. Massage for injuries is used in the post-immobilization period to normalize blood and lymph flow, relieve pain, resolve swelling, regenerate and repair tissue, and normalize redox processes. The massage begins above the site of swelling (reflex-distraction), gradually descending to the areas adjacent to the affected area.
