Pharmacological action:

Troxerutin Zentiva is venotonic, angioprotective agent, bioflavonoid. Reduces capillary permeability and fragility, strengthens the vascular wall, improves microcirculation, has an anti-edema effect. Participates in oxidation-reduction processes, blocks hyaluronic acid of cell membranes. Increases the density of the vascular wall, reduces the exudation of the liquid part of plasma and diapedesis of blood cells. Reduces inflammation in the vascular wall by limiting platelet adhesion to its surface.

The use of Troxerutin Zentiva is possible both in the initial and in the later stages of treatment of chronic venous insufficiency, it may be used as one of the components of complex treatment.

Pharmacokinetics:

After oral administration the drug is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, Cmax in plasma is on average 2 hours after administration, therapeutic plasma level is maintained for 8 hours.

Metabolized in the liver, partially excreted unchanged in the urine and bile.

Indications

Varicose veins, Pain, Swelling, Weight and pain in legs, Bruises, Swelling after injuries and operations, Diabetic retinopathy, Trophic ulcers, Hemorrhoids, Thrombophlebitis

• varicose veins, including during pregnancy (starting from the 4th month of pregnancy);
• Chronic venous insufficiency, such as static heaviness of legs, ulcers of the shin, trophic skin lesions;
• thrombophlebitischronic venous insufficiency with such manifestations as static heaviness in legs, lower leg ulcers, trophic skin affections;
• thrombophlebitis, periphlebitis;
• postthrombatic syndrome;
• hemorrhoidal knots;
• as a preventive measure after operations on the veins.
