Pharmaceutical action:< br>

Zinc pyrithione activated has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal activity. Antifungal activity is especially expressed against Pityrosporum ovale and Pityrosporum orbiculare which cause inflammation and excessive desquamation in skin diseases. Antibacterial activity is shown against a number of pathogenic microorganisms Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp.

Zinc pyrithione reduces intracellular ATP level, promotes depolarization of cell membranes, causing death of fungi and bacteria. The mechanism of anti-inflammatory action is not studied.

Pharmacokinetics: < br>

When applied externally, zinc pyrithione is deposited in the epidermis and superficial layers of the dermis. Systemic absorption is slow. It is detected in the blood in trace amounts.

Psoriasis;
atopic dermatitis of the scalp;
seborrheic dermatitis;
itching;
dandruff;
oily seborrhea;
dry seborrhea.

Composition

100 g of the drug contains:
Active ingredient: Pyrithione zinc activated 1 g
Excipients: Sodium lauryl sulfate aqueous solution 26.5% (EASYCOL ES 27) 50 g, Cocamidopropyl betaine aqueous solution 30% (EMPIGEN® BS/FA) 8 g, POLIGEL W400 (acrylic acid copolymer) 4 g, TEGO® Pearl N 100 (glycol distearate 10-25%, steareth-4 5-10%, sodium benzoate 0.5%, water) 1 g, ethanol 1 g, ABIL® B 88183 PH (dimethicone, macrogol and propylene glycol copolymer 34.3%, propylene glycol 1.7%, water 64%) 0.3 g, levomenthol 0.25 g, flavoring BINEA 0.6 g, disodium edetate 0.01 g, SK INFLUX base (NP ceramide 1%, AP ceramide 0.5%, EOP ceramide 0.001%, phytospingosine 0.5%, cholesterol 0.5%, sodium lauryl lactate 10%, carbomer 0.3%, xanthan gum 0.3%, purified water to 100%) 0.1 g, methylparaben 0.1 g, alpha-tocopherol acetate 0.1 g, purified water to 100.0 ml.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy and lactation, the drug should be prescribed only in cases where the expected benefit of therapy for the mother outweighs the potential risk for the fetus or infant.

There have been no reports of any adverse effects from the use of zinc pyrithione preparations by pregnant women or women during breastfeeding.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Interaction

No clinically significant interactions of Skin-cap with other drugs have been identified.

Storage conditions

At temperatures from +4 to +30°C, out of the reach of children.

Shelf life

5 years. Do not use after expiration date.
