Sea buckthorn oil

Composition

Active component: Sea buckthorn oil concentrate – 60 mg (containing total carotenoids, in terms of β-carotene, 300 mg%). Excipient: Sunflower oil – up to 100 mg.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the drug; for external and local use – profuse bleeding, copious purulent discharge from the wound; when administered orally – cholecystitis, cholangitis, pancreatitis, cholelithiasis, hepatitis; with rectal administration – diarrhea; children’s age up to 12 years.

Recommendations for use

Externally, locally, internally. Externally: for skin lesions in the form of oil dressings. Sea buckthorn oil is applied to an area of ​​skin previously cleared of necrotic tissue, followed by a cotton-gauze bandage, which is changed every other day. Treatment is carried out until granulations appear. Locally: for colpitis, endocervicitis, cervical erosion, hemorrhoids, rectal fissures, they are used in the form of tampons heavily soaked in sea buckthorn oil. The course of treatment for colpitis is 10-15 procedures; endocervicitis, cervical erosion 8-12 procedures; for external hemorrhoids, rectal fissures, 5-7 procedures. In otorhinolaryngology – during tympanoplasty, after treating the wound with antibiotics, tampons richly soaked in sea buckthorn oil, tamponate the wound surface. The course of treatment is 7-10 procedures. Orally: for gastric and duodenal ulcers, take 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day for 3-4 weeks.
