Pharmacodynamics:
Phenylephrine hydrochloride is an α-adrenomimetic has a local vasoconstrictor effect that helps reduce exudation of tissue swelling and itching in the anorectal area.

Active substance:
phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg.
Auxiliary substances:
cocoa bean oil 1770 mg,
corn starch 224.2 mg,
methylparahydroxybenzoate 0.4 mg,
How to take, the dosage
The drug should be used after hygienic procedures. Rectally, 1 suppository in the morning at night and after each bowel movement up to 4 times a day for 7-14 days.
The suppository should be inserted so that it remains in the anal canal (at the level of the anus) without sinking completely into the rectum. The base of the suppository should be held with a gauze pads for a few minutes until it dissolves completely.
Interaction
Because of the phenylephrine content, it reduces the effect of hypotensive drugs.
The simultaneous use with MAO antidepressant inhibitors may cause a hypertensive crisis.
Special Instructions
The use in children under 12 years of age, during pregnancy and lactation without the consent of a doctor is not recommended.
In case of bleeding, worsening of the condition or if there is no effect within 7 days, the drug should be stopped and a physician should be consulted.
Do not use with antihypertensive medications and MAO inhibitors.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug thromboembolic disease granulocytopenia childhood age under 12 years.
Artial hypertension hyperthyroidism diabetes mellitus retention of urine (prostatic hypertrophy) pregnancy lactation period.
Side effects
The following adverse reactions have been reported with preparations containing phenylephrine in various dosage forms. Overdose
Prolonged or excessive topical use of phenylephrine may cause nervous system disorders such as nervousness.
Treatment: symptomatic.
Pregnancy use
There is no sufficient experience in the use of the drug during pregnancy.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women may use the drug by prescription if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus and child.
