Picamilon, 100 mg/ml 2 ml 10 pcs

Picamilon is a nootropic, dilates cerebral blood vessels. It also has tranquilizing, psychostimulant, antiaggregant and antioxidant effects.

Picamilon improves brain function due to normalization of tissue metabolism and influence on cerebral circulation (increases the volumetric and linear velocity of cerebral blood flow, reduces cerebral vascular resistance, inhibits platelet aggregation, improves microcirculation).

When taking Pikamilon during a course of treatment it increases physical and mental performance, reduces headache, improves memory, normalizes sleep; helps decrease or disappearance of anxiety, tension and fear; improves condition of patients with movement and speech disorders.

• Cerebrovascular failure, asthenia, depressive disorders in old age.
• States accompanied by anxiety, fear, increased irritability, emotional lability. Asthenic conditions due to various neuropsychiatric diseases.
• As a part of the complex treatment – to relieve acute alcohol intoxication; in chronic alcoholism – to reduce the asthenic, asthenoneurotic, post-psychotic, pre relapse states, as well as alcoholic encephalopathy.
• In the complex therapy – migraine (prevention), ChMT, neuroinfections.
• Enhancement of physical and mental stress (for people in stressful and extreme conditions, to restore the physical performance of athletes, to increase resistance to physical and mental stress.)

Auxiliary substances:

0.1 M hydrochloric acid solution – to pH 6.7 to 8.0

Water for injection – to 1 ml

How to take, the dosage

Intravenously by drip or stream (slowly), intramuscularly.

Before drip administration the contents of the ampoule are dissolved in 200 ml of 0.9% NaCl solution. In chronic cerebral circulatory disorders, the drug is administered intravenously or intramuscularly, 100-200 mg, 1-2 times a day, in a daily dose of 20-40 mg. Depending on the patient’s condition, it is administered in the morning by IV drip and in the evening by IM; or 10 days by IV and then by IM.

The course of treatment is 15-30 days. In asthenic conditions, depending on the severity of the disease, except for oral administration – in/m, in a daily dose of 20-40 mg (2-4 ml of 10% solution), for 1 month.

Interaction

It shortens the effect of barbiturates, increases the effect of narcotic analgesics.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, CKD, pregnancy, childhood (under 3 years), lactation.

Side effects

Nausea, headache, dizziness, irritability, agitation, feelings of anxiety, allergic reactions (rash, itching).

Overdose

Symptoms: increased severity of adverse reactions.

Treatment: symptomatic.
