Combination drug, has antispasmodic, hypotensive, vasodilatory effects. Bendazol is an antispasmodic agent of myotropic action; it has hypotensive, vasodilatory effects, stimulates spinal cord function, has moderate immunostimulatory activity.
Papaverine is an antispasmodic agent and has hypotensive effect. It inhibits phosphodiesterase, causes accumulation of cAMP and decrease of calcium in cells, tones down and relaxes smooth muscles of internal organs (gastrointestinal, respiratory and urogenital systems) and blood vessels.
In high doses it reduces excitability of the heart muscle and slows intracardiac conduction. Action on CNS is weak (in high doses it has sedative effect).
Indications
– Arterial hypertension (labile);
– spasm of peripheral arteries and cerebral vessels;
– spasm of the smooth muscles of internal organs (including.
– gastric and duodenal ulcer, pylorus spasm, colic, cholecystitis, spastic colitis);
– poliomyelitis (residual effects);
– peripheral paralysis of facial nerve.

Active substances:
bendazole hydrochloride (dibazole) – 30 mg,
papaverine hydrochloride – 30 mg;

talc – 3 mg,
stearic acid – 1 mg,

How to take, the dosage
At the mouth, adults – 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day.
The course of treatment is individual, usually 2-4 weeks.
In children – as prescribed by the doctor.
Interaction
Pharmacodynamic: with simultaneous use with antispasmodics, sedatives, diuretics (dichlothiazide, diacarb, furosemide, spironolactone, etc.), tricyclic antidepressants, novokainamide, reserpine, quinidine sulfate may increase the hypotensive effect.
Weakens the effect of anticholinesterase drugs (galantamine, proserine, physostigmine, etc.) on smooth muscle; reduces the antiparkinsonian effect of levodopa.
When Papazole and nitrofurantoin are used in combination, hepatitis may develop. Pharmacokinetic: adsorbents, astringents and coating agents reduce absorption of the drug in the gastrointestinal tract.
Special Instructions
Alcohol intake should be avoided during treatment.
The drug should be prescribed with caution and in small doses in elderly and frail patients, as well as patients with craniocerebral trauma, liver and kidney function disorders, hypothyroidism, insufficiency of adrenal function, prostate hypertrophy.
Contraindications
– AV conduction disorders;
– epilepsy syndrome;
– bronchoobstructive syndrome;
– childhood under 3 years;
– hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
With caution is administered in reduced intestinal peristalsis, brain injury, hepatic and/or renal insufficiency, hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, prostatic hyperplasia, pregnancy and lactation.
Side effects
Digestive system disorders: nausea, constipation.
CNS disorders: dizziness.
Cardiovascular system: AV-blockade, arrhythmias, decreased myocardial contractility.
Other: allergic reactions, increased sweating.
Overdose
Papazole overdose symptoms are a combination of symptoms of papaverine and bendazole overdose.
Symptoms of papaverine overdose: diplopia weakness drowsiness lethargy.
Symptoms of bendazole overdose: arterial hypotension decreased tissue perfusion arrhythmia headache weakness.
Treatment: gastric lavage activated charcoal.
Pregnancy use
The safety of the drug in pregnancy and lactation has not been established.
Hence, the use of the drug during pregnancy is possible only when the expected benefits to the mother exceed the potential risk to the fetus.
